STORY: THAT NIGHT IN ROOM 401 (Episode 08)

Image
I  Could hear the distant beating of the popular Bata drum “Iya ilu” ( Mother Drum) being beaten and the Shallow sound of the Omele Ako ( a smaller drum) as I drove my Jeep towards Igbonla… Igbonla was a village known for festivities…. There was always one party or the other….We had no worries, in fact there was a popular saying that ” Why don’t you have any worries like people from Igbonla”. As I drew nearer, Something gripped my heart, what it was, I couldn’t tell… Was it Fear? Or Anxiety of not knowing what to expect, or was it the Holy Spirit telling me not to go back to Igbonla… I suddenly stepped on my brakes and my mind flashed back to hours earlier… The day had been an eventful day for me, as Doctor Jack had called me very early to inform me he had done the Mercy Killing. He gave me instructions to get out of town immediately and switch off my phone for now as my angry mum in law was on her way to the house. No wonder Doctor Jack had sent me home last night insi...

Proverbs 10:22  ‘The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it’ DAILY READING –  1 Thessalonians 5; Isaiah 23-24; Psalm 116 A report from Fox News on 24th July 2019, stated that the wealthiest billionaire in Singapore, Philip Chee Tat Ng, said that he valued his relationship with Jesus Christ more than anything else in the world. This was interesting news to many people, considering that Philip is Singapore’s largest private landlord and property developer, and estimated by Forbes magazine to be worth $12.1 billion. Yet despite all his wealth, Philip said he had no peace or rest, until he found Christ. Though he had attended a Christian school, taken up a course in theology while in King’s College London and even married a wife who is a Christian, still Philip had no real understanding of what a relationship with God was like. That was until he was invited to a Christian event in year 2000 by the wife of his good friend. She had wanted h...
